I am humbled yet excited that the citizens of Pikeville have entrusted me with the office of City Commissioner. I intend to keep that trust by fighting the plague of substance abuse, supporting growth and prosperity, taking complaints seriously and seeking solutions. I will work for common good of all. Pikeville is not just a beautiful city in Kentucky, it's home.

My vision is to be the most progressive, cleanest, best maintained city in eastern Kentucky. e want to be business friendly, tourism minded and to continue to support our educational institutions (Pikeville City Schools and Pikeville College.) We need to continue to encourage and support our biggest employer Pikeville Medical Center. We have great recreational facilities and we need to maintain them in first class way. Another very important goal is to maintain and improve our public utilities.
To foster a spirit of cooperation between the City of Pikeville and the Pike County Government, working on common problems for the betterment of all our citizens.

I want the citizens of Pikeville to know what an honor and privilege it is to serve you. The past seven years have been quite an experience for me. In this short span of time I have seen many great things happen and I am so glad to have a part in the progress of this great City. It is no wonder that Pikeville is considered to be one of the most progressive Cities of the Commonwealth. Good things continue to happen.
The City has never looked so good. Pikeville's UMG continues to do an outstanding job helping the City meet its commitments to our citizens and to our business community. I am particularly pleased with the vision of our Mayor, and Commission and how well they work together to achieve their goals. I would be remiss not to mention the important role our City Manager plays in the success of our City. No doubt, without his leadership, and his dedication our goals could not be met. I am equally impressed with the devotion of our city employees, police and fire department.
My goal is to continue supporting Pikeville's STRATEGIC PLAN, (our road map to the future)and at the same time keeping Pikeville within it's budget. I am proud of our city and the good job it does.

As I begin my full second term as City Commissioner I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of Pikeville. Although all commissioners may not agree on all issues that are brought before us, I truly believe each one of us has a true desire to work for the betterment of the City Of Pikeville. Some recent examples are the new parking facility, The newly renovated City Park, and the soon to be completed underground utility project in early spring of 2005. Our next goal needs to be the revitalization of the downtown area with retail, restaurants, and lodging. These are the visions of a progressive city government, that I can honestly say that I am proud to be associated with.
